Lettings Plus scheme

We are looking for new properties to help stop homelessness.

Lettings Plus is a free scheme for landlords and letting agencies with properties and rooms to rent.

Incentives

We offer a range of incentives to landlords so that residents can privately rent homes, including:

• Rent and deposit - First month’s rent and deposit in advance
• Property Improvement grant - We inspect all properties to make sure the property is safe and hazard-free before anyone moves in. A grant (usually up to £500 per tenant) can be provided if a property needs minor work to remove hazards or improve safety
• One-off incentives - Additional funding that can be used for things like a skip hire or minor repairs. This can include funding to fix specific issues that could put a tenancy at risk (maximum of £500 per tenancy)
• Landlord liaison officer - Your single point of contact
• Tenancy support - On a case-by-case basis to help maintain sustainable tenancy
• Inspections - Quarterly inspections
• Inventory checks - A written inventory free-of-charge, including descriptions and photographs of the property before the tenancy starts
• Landlord mailing list - Email bulletins with useful updates, key legislative changes, events and training opportunities
